Taking the pulse of our community, continuing to act as a convener for the region, and welcoming new donors, Momentum Waikato has been busy in the many ways we serve as your community foundation.
Waikato Vital Signs® has provided a great opportunity to collaborate with some exceptional organisations as we go about our work in launching our very first Waikato Vital Signs report. Reaching out to the communities of Matamata, Morrinsville, Ngaruawahia and Hamilton City in this pilot year, as well as consulting with youth and Iwi Maaori groups, provided us with earnest feedback. This year's report will establish a baseline for us to gauge changes and growth in years to come for the key areas outlined in the Waikato Vital Signs report. Look for our launch of this important report over the coming months. We know sharing this information with the community will be helpful for understanding where our gaps exist and need attention, in addition to celebrating what we do well.
Having the opportunity to speak with hundreds of people during Waikato Vital Signs community engagement sessions, we feel very humbled to learn about their hopes and dreams. We are looking forward to creating more opportunities to convene the people who call the Waikato their home. We share a love for this region and our role as your community foundation is to continue to ask questions and work together to address our local issues.
