Welcome to our October e-newsletter, as we share some of our favourite new stories with you.

It has been a momentous year so far for Momentum Waikato - forgive the pun! This week we are celebrating one year since we introduced our services as your community foundation. We launched our website in November 2015 and it has, and continues to be, an honour and joy to serve you, our generous donors and community.

Thank you so much to all of you who joined us recently at our recent Waikato Vital Signs 2016 launch events in Morrinsville, Matamata, Hamilton and Ngaruawahia. There were many special korero shared, and we were humbled by your response to this ground-breaking project. Waikato Vital Signs 2016 is our gift to you, and it offers an opportunity for everyone to take collective responsibility for our own local patch.

We are now calling for expressions of interest for the new $1million Vital Waikato Grant. The grant aims to support initiatives that positively move the needle in the right direction on one or more of the indicators presented in the Waikato Vital Signs 2016 Report. This is a wonderful opportunity for Waikato change-makers to innovate and create lasting transformational change.

Last week we also announced the appointment of the Waikato Regional Theatre Governance Panel. The Governance Panel, appointed from within the Waikato Community, are now busy building a coalition of experts who will offer expert planning advice, manage the project and deliver a new and truly iconic theatre that will serve our community for generations to come.

I trust you enjoy reading our latest update. Please feel free to share this with others so that we all can continue to create a better Waikato for everyone, forever.

With my very best wishes,
Ka kite ano
