It is a time of change at Momentum Waikato, with three of the team moving on to new opportunities and adventures in 2018 – huge thanks to Cheryl Reynolds, Raewyn Kirkman and Lisa James for their significant contributions to Momentum Waikato.

Pūniu River Care, one of our Vital Waikato Grant recipients, is committed to planting 80 million trees over the next generation. And thanks to Momentum Waikato’s grant, they recently received a further $741,000 from the Ministry for the Environment.

Firstly, we are proud to announce the outstanding generosity and leadership of Trust Waikato, which is providing a $15million donation towards the development of the new Waikato Regional Theatre.

Momentum Waikato’s team dreams of a better Waikato for everyone, forever. They also dream about this wonderful community foundation and look forward to the freshness and vigour its new Chief Executive will bring to lead them forward.

Drawing on Waikato Vital Signs, WEL Energy Trust have announced a $400,000 grants round focused on targeting organisations, projects or initiatives that address issues around the affordability and quality of housing. Read more or apply now.
